CERTIFICATES IN SPOKEN AND WRITTEN ENGLISH LICENCE(S)
You must agree to all the terms and conditions for the
licence(s) to be issued. Once payment has been processed NSW AMES
will despatch your licence(s), curriculum document(s) and your
receipt to your mailing and our email address.
- The Licensee is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in
Australia. The Licensee will add the course(s) for which the
licence(s) has/have been purchased to their scope prior to
conducting training or assessment leading to an accredited
qualification.
- The Licensee ensures that the course is taught only at the
site(s) covered by this agreement. For the purposes of this
licence, a site is defined as an educational centre at which
continuous tuition is offered, inclusive of any outreach/community
site which does not offer continuous tuition but which is
serviced/administered from the educational centre at which
continuous tuition is offered.
- The Licensee must in the use of the course licensed by this
agreement:
- not sub-license the licensed material
- comply with the requirements of copyright legislation in respect
of all material in the curriculum, which may not be
copied/duplicated
- provide ongoing professional support and moderation processes
for teachers engaged in teaching the curriculum and ensure
satisfactory completion
- ensure that at least 80% of teachers delivering the course
participate in moderation and quality control workshops conducted
at least once a year throughout the accreditation period.
- The licence is granted for the period stated on the Course
Licence, commencing on the date of the signature and terminating on
the date of expiry of course accreditation.
- The Licensee ensures that courses taught within the CSWE
framework are delivered by trained teachers and assessors whose
minimum teaching qualifications must be the following:
a. A recognised bachelor degree - a formal
qualification awarded by an Australian university or tertiary
institution, or its onshore or overseas equivalent, that is at
least three years full-time in length or its part-time equivalent
and a recognised postgraduate TESOL qualification - resulting from
a course of study in which course content of no less than 100
contact hours (or distance learning equivalent) covers the grammar
of the English language, language learning and TESOL methodology
and includes a practicum
or
A Bachelor of Education with a TESOL major or equivalent that
includes a practicum
and
b. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
(TAA04110) or equivalent or be able to demonstrate equivalent
competencies (National Quality Council Special Bulletin July
2010).
Note: The practicum must be at least 60 hours, which includes, for
example, supervised teaching, observation, field visits, resources
evaluation, team teaching, volunteer tutoring etc.
If a course undertaken has less than 60 hours practicum, teachers
must demonstrate teaching experience equivalent to 60 hours, or
must make up the difference in duration by individually organising
a supervised practicum. Appropriate documentation of such a
practicum should be kept.
Note: It is desirable for teachers delivering programs that focus
on the development of numeracy skills through the elective numeracy
modules, to have training and professional development in numeracy
teaching.
Teachers and assessors with qualifications originating
from countries other than Australia
Teachers and assessors holding qualifications from
overseas institutions should show a statement of equivalence from
AEINOOSR (formerly the National Office of Overseas Skills
Recognition).
